Hmmm maybe not completely raw...
AMENDMENT NUMBER 3
Fish is OK.
Yes I know, I'm gettin' pretty far away from raw, but I decided that I'm doing more of a healthy/raw lifestyle now... for thirty days... or... three weeks.
So I really felt like cooking something beyond that 118 degree rule. I had some great cod fish in my freezer so I spiced it up with some Cajun seasoning and salt - put that in the pan with a little extra virgin olive oil for about twenty minuets on medium. Now for the salad...
First, start with your base, fresh mixed greens.
Second, chop up some kale. Why chop it you ask, well it normally (and should) come in big leaves, to big to actually eat so chop them up to normal size. Kale is REALLY good for you and it usually doesn't come with your mix greens, be sure to add it (unless you really dislike this specific leaf - don't ruin your meal for the sake of extreme health).
Third chop up half a cucumber. Make sure first to cut once down the length of the cucumber and then begin your normal chopping. The reason? this way you get have circles instead of whole ones which are harder to eat.
Fourth, chop up some celery, thinner is better you don't want big chunks of celery in your salad it's just annoying.
Fifth, sprinkle on some feta cheese and toss.
Finally, for the dressing, mix together in a bowl with a fork: balsamic vinegar, normal olive oil, and curry spice. Pour that over your salad as needed
Tada! Yur done!
ttyl,
Jack
Green Drinks
If your one of those people like me who has a hard time getting all of those greens in, you need to make some green drinks. Get yursef a blender and throw in everything and anything green (food that is). This concoction contains the following:
- 2 cups of water
- 3 big leafs of kale
- 1 big handful of spinach
- 2 carrots
- 1 apple
- 1 orange
- modest handful of hazelnuts
- modest handful of almonds
- 1 table spoon of honey
This actually made more than I was originally anticipating and will have plenty left over for lunch tomorrow. Thats right, this is a complete meal, the nuts are crucial to fulfilling your appetite and keeping you from hunger for at least four hours... theoretically.
You know what they say, "One green drink a day keeps the doctor away."

NO DAIRY! Dude Not Cool
Right, so I like coffee, a lot! So, no dairy is kind of a hard order to fill. I mean come on! I live in Sequim - we college students spend just as much time in coffee shops as we do sleeping (which isn't saying much because we go to bed a few hours before we have to get up).
Amendment Number 2
Dairy in the context of coffee is acceptable, but only in the context of coffee. Cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc. are still and will remain unacceptable.

Sunny Farms and Lunch - Dude so raw!
Sunny Farms
So, as I did not have healthy food in my house I had to make a trip to our local Sunny Farms. I know what your thinkin' "Your mother didn't raise you to eat healthy food?" Nah, she did. The problem was I didn't have any food in my refrigerator. I quickly drew up a shopping list and acquired the following:

The problem was I didn't have any food in my refrigerator. I quickly drew up a shopping list and acquired the following:
- Oranges
- Apples
- Kale (You don't eat kale? Yucky you say? Bitter you say? someone needs to bite the health bullet or learn how to cook it properly... sadly... I can't... cook... it 118 degree rule remember?)
- Mixed Greens
- Tomatos
- Avocados
- Cucumber
- Celery
- Carrots
- Fresh Honey
- Almond Butter
- Fruit Currants (they taste like raisins)
- Dried Cherries
- Dried Apricots
- Pecans
- Almonds
- Walnuts
- Flax Bread (*DISCLAIMER* Wait you can't have bread, that's cooked! Yeah thats true I know. There's a few things I'm not doing raw, special healthy flax bread is one of them... just about the only one... I think...)
Stay tuned to see what I'm going to do with all of these nutritious living raw fūds.
Lunch
Right, so now that I've filled my pantry with ingredients for life, It's time for lunch. I'm one of those college students who doesn't like to spend a lot of time cooking. I have other, more important things to be doing, video games for instance. So a really quick lunch is compiled of three ingredients: Silver Hills Mack's Flax Bread, Organic Honey, and Almond Butter. You compile these three basic fūds and you get something that's more scrumptious than you would believe. My first thought was, oh great, this is going to be dry and bland and undoubtedly tastefulness. WRONG! Best peanut butter and jelly honey sandwich I've had.

Jedi Fūd Dude!
I haven't had a chance to get to the old Sunny Farms so I had to make a raw breakfast with what I had in my pantry, the result? Quite good.
Check it:
We've got ourselves some oats, dried cherries (yes very very good), and pecans
Then we pour warm water over those simple ingredients
Why warm, well if the water is above the 118º the foods lose their natural enzymes and "life force"
(I wonder if their talking about the midichlorians that reside within ourselves - THIS IS JEDI FŪD!)
For more information about the force check it out here

About
Hey Ya'll,
So here's the deal. I made a promise to a bro that I would drop forty before he returns. The issue: I've only lost fifteen, so now I'm forced to take DRASTIC ACTION!!!!!! Joey, you would be proud I'm sure. I've decided to go completely raw for 30 days (or maybe like three weeks). I'll post the rules of my new temporary eatings habits tomorrow along with daily updates of exercise and fūds
